REDCap consulting: development, customization and platform management

REDCap is the standard for data collection in clinical research, but making it work well requires specific technical skills. Depalop supports hospitals, research institutes, universities and research groups with consulting, development, maintenance and validation of their REDCap platform, working alongside internal IT.

REDCap consulting and study design

We analyse the protocol and design the database: data dictionary, instruments, events for longitudinal studies, Data Access Groups for multicentre studies, validation rules and branching logic. We also review projects already in production to improve quality and usability.

REDCap development and customization

We build custom external modules, plugins and hooks, simplified interfaces for non-technical users, roles with complex permissions and automations. We integrate REDCap with other systems through its API. Learn more

REDCap validation for regulated contexts

Do you work on REDCap instances that are already installed?
Yes. In most cases we support the instance already licensed by the institution, without replacing internal IT.

Can you develop a custom external module?
Yes. We design, develop and document external modules, testing them in a separate environment before release.

Is REDCap 21 CFR Part 11 compliant?
REDCap provides tools such as audit trails and electronic signatures, but compliance depends on configuration, procedures and validation. Our validation service produces the evidence you need.

My REDCap has become slow: can you help?
Yes. We analyse database, server, cron jobs and configuration and identify the causes, with a one-off fix or an optimisation plan.

Do you work outside Italy?
